Creating connection profiles

To create a new connection profile

  1. In Sybase Central, choose Connections » Connection Profiles.

    The Connection Profiles window appears.

  2. Click New.

  3. In the New Connection Profile window, enter a name for the new profile and choose the appropriate plug-in. The plug-in is the product, such as SQL Anywhere 12 or MobiLink 12.

  4. You can allow other users to access the profile by selecting Share This Connection Profile With Other Users. This is useful on multi-user platforms such as Unix.

  5. Click OK.

    The Edit Connection Profile window appears.

  6. In the Edit Connection Profile window, enter the values, and then click OK to close the window.
